Charges against the owners of a Lethbridge funeral home threaten the industry’s reputation.
That’s according to two southern Alberta funeral homes following charges laid against Ralph and Faith Zentner, who run the Cornerstone Home in Lethbridge.
The Zentners are charged with indignities to human bodies.
In one case, someone allegedly cut off a finger to remove a ring.
The owner of another funeral home in Lethbridge says such charges cast a black eye over the whole industry.
Meanwhile, Ernie Hagel, who runs McInnis and Holloway in Calgary, tells The Calgary Herald he hopes the public remembers that cases like this don’t happen often.
