Beef producers are optimistic about the industry’s future

The number of ‘beefs’ Canadian ranchers have is on the decline.
A survey conducted by Farm Credit Canada determined beef producers are optimistic about the future.
Three quarters of cattle farmers believe that the business will be in a healthier financial position in five years time.
The positive outlook was not enough for farmers to believe the industry would maintain stability. Only 40 per cent of the respondents said they would encourage a friend or family member to start a career in cattle farming .
