Dogs slaughtered in Whistler, B.C.

The SPCA is demanding criminal charges be laid and the RCMP are investigating after the slaughter of one hundred healthy dogs near Whistler, British Columbia.
Outdoor Adventures Whistler reportedly ordered the dogs killed after post Winter Olympic Games drop in business.
The SPCA’s Marcie Moriarty calls this a massacre saying the worker who killed the dogs went to “WorkSafeBC” claiming post traumatic stress.
Moriarty is pushing for charges.
The dogs were apparently put down when the owners couldn’t find homes for them.
Corey Steinberg is the lawyer for the man at the centre of the case.
He tells CityTV the man did try to find homes for the dogs and he tried to find a vet to euthanize the animals humanly but was ultimately left to do it on his own.
Steinberg says “He’s really and expert in dogs and is an extremely caring person. He loves these dogs like a person I’ve never seen.”
A statement from the company is expected to be made Monday afternoon.
