Burton Canadian Open at COP

World-class athletes are making their way to Calgary this week for the third annual Burton Canadian Open.
Among the handful of talented athletes in town for the event are three-time American Olympian Kelly Clark, who just nailed the first-ever 1080 in the Winter X Games.
The snowboarding competition held at Canada Olympic Park features halfpipe and slopestyle events.
Large crowds are expected for Friday night’s half-pipe finals at 7 p.m.
Burton spokesperson Liam Griffin tells 660News world renowned DJ Mix Master Mike, known for his work with the Beastie Boys, will be performing after the award’s ceremony.
Another big draw will be the boys from Fubar, Terry and Deaner, who will be keeping crowds entertained in the beer gardens.
Slopestyle finals are Saturday at 11 a.m.
Fans should dress warmly as the events will be outdoors.
