Students Rally for Egypt

Dozens of students gathered at the University of Calgary campus on Wednesday to show their support for the people of Egypt.
Many of the demonstrators were of Egyptian descent and say they’re worried about friends and family back home who they have not been able to contact.
Nesmah Elkestawi tells 660News much of what we see and hear on TV is misleading. She says many of the Hosni Mubarak supporters we see are being paid by the Egyptian leader.
” As long as their getting paid what they’re getting paid, they’re going to keep doing it unless their conscience wakes them up.”
Other students say they are hoping the Canadian government will do more to help put an end to the volatile situation taking place in Egypt.
