More snow in store for Calgary

The weather will take a nosedive in a matter of hours.
With snow fall warnings in effect, expect the white stuff to begin blanketing the city Sunday afternoon.
The forecast calls for 15 to 20cm of snow to fall within city limits.
But areas south of Calgary will get the worst of it.
The foothills down to the American border is expected to carry the brunt of the latest storm, with 35 to 50cm of snow blanketing the area.
660News meteorologist David Spence says the temperature is dropping and snow beginning to fall because of two storm systems moving over the region.
“There’s one system that’s feeding moisture in from the Pacific, but we also have a high pressure system over Eastern Alberta, and that’s going to push all that moisture, when it comes across the mountains, it’s going to push it back towards the foothills.
On the bright side, Calgary isn’t the worst weather-affected city in Canada. In Iqaluit, NU there is a blizzard warning in effect Saturday with temperatures falling to -48 with the windchill.
Spence says the mercury will hover around -10 over the next few days, but by mid-week the storm will be a thing of the past.
