Scoreless soccer could be coming to Calgary

Young children playing soccer in the city might soon stop keeping score.

The Calgary Minor Soccer Association is looking at whether to do away with scoring games, league titles and season standings for youngsters under 12-years-old.

Association boss Daryl Leinweber tells The Calgary Sun there’s getting to be more of an appetite for doing away with the game’s competitive elements when young kids are playing.

A decision could be made as early as June.
