Polluter Harmony video sends stern message

Greenpeace Canada hopes a little Valentines Day satire will drive home a serious message.
The environmental group has released a video that lampoon’s Canada’s environmental minister and what they call his love affair with oil company profits.
Actors play Peter Kent and an oil company executive, who have been brought together via Polluter Harmony.
Greenpeace believes the oilsands are blight on Canada and should be stopped.
Spokesman Keith Stewart says their latest message is serious, but they’re using a different way to get it across.
“It’s very Canadian to use humour to make your point so we thought why not make a video?” He says. “It’s about the love affair between oil and state in this country and some of the costs of that.”
Stewart says it’s sad that the Harper government is more worried about oil company profits than the interests of the public.
