Toni Campbell, the owner of Floral Inspirations received the honor in the national competition put on by Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship, a program that recognizes and supports Canadians who successfully go into business for themselves.
She tells 660News, it’s nice to be noticed for the hard work it takes to balance school and her passion for entrepreneurship and also to have the opportunity to compete.
Floral Inspirations started out as a flower company but now offer flowers, cakes, rentals and decor for weddings and special events.
She says her business grew 800 per cent in the first two years because people are really interested in working with a home-based business.
She will now go on to the regional’s in March and if successful she will then head to Toronto for the nationals in May.
