Enmax promises to do better

Apparently the controversy over the operations of city-owned utility Enmax is over.
City council members emerged from a four hour closed-door meeting with Enmax officials, satisfied the company will be more accountable and transparent in the future.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi tells Citytv there will be “No more rock-star parties, no private jets, no private cars.”
The meeting was called not long after former CEO and President Gary Holden was given a $4.6-million severance package.
Alderman Diane Colley-Urquhart did call for the resignation of everyone who sits on the board of Enmax; none have stepped down.
The conciliatory tone of the meeting also scuttled calls for a strategic review of Enmax operations.
A statement issued by the chairman of the Enmax board says the company looks forward to working with city council in the future.
