A father had the chance to thank two strangers Saturday afternoon, after his young son was safely returned back to him.
Five year old Russell, wandered off from home to the Dalhousie C-Train station yesterday afternoon, without a coat, or shoes.
Ron Collins with Calgary Transit says a woman noticed the boy was alone and took him under her wing, notifying transit officials.
Russell’s dad Avery Cochrane, says he’s so grateful.
“I’m just so grateful especially with the good samaritan, giving him gloves and a hat to wear, just truly grateful for her help and what she did.”
Collins met with the woman and C-Train driver Saturday to express his gratitude in person.
