Man stabbed in head with syringe

Police are concerned after a man, reporting a vehicle break at a downtown parkade, was stabbed in the head with a syringe.

The stabbing occurred last Thursday at around 11:00 a.m. at the Bow Parkade, at 6th Avenue and 2nd Street Southwest, when the man called police to report suspicious activity.

He was quickly confronted by a second suspect involved in the break in and was stabbed with the needle, which broke off in his forehead.

Detective Jason Bobrowich says the man, who has been released from hospital, took extraordinary steps to get away by getting underneath his vehicle and remain on the phone with police.

Bobrowich says it is so concerning because the man did exactly what they tell people to do when they witness a crime, don’t get involved and call 911.

Police are looking for two men in connection to the case.
