Habs miffed at English anthem

Paul Brandt didn’t get the words wrong, but there’s a bit of an anthem flap from Sunday’s Heritage Classic.

The Montreal Canadiens noticed the Calgary crooner sang “O Canada” only in English, instead of delivering a bilingual version of our national song.

The Calgary Sun reports Montreal made a complaint to the NHL, which has acknowledged the English-only version but won’t be doing anything about it.

On his Twitter account, Brandt writes he’s proud to live in a bilingual country where we’re free to speak or sing whatever language we choose.
