Fire causes serious damage to northeast home

A father and his three young children are lucky to be alive, after escaping from a fire at their northeast Calgary home.
Fire crews were called to a garage fire on Cove Park Drive in Coventry Hills shortly after 1:00 p.m. Friday.
When crews arrived, they found the garage completely engulfed in flames.
a father and his three kids, all under five-years-old, were inside the home at the time of the fire. None of them were injured, but all were assessed on scene for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is now being investigated. So far, no damage estimate is known.
