Calgary Police believe a home invasion, at about 10:30 pm Saturday night in the 4400 block of Fordham Crescent in Forest Lawn, was a targeted attack, noting the intruders weren’t wearing masks and entered the home with a .22 calibre rifle demanding drugs.
Duty Inspector Rob Williams tells 660News, five people were in the home at the time of the intrusion and an argument ensued.
“They got into a bit of an argument,” Williams says. “And at some point one of the victims was hit over the head with something, but not serious. One of the accused, or suspects, was hit in the back with a hammer as they were fleeing. And they dropped this rifle” (.22 calibre) “at the scene and left.”
Police say the intruders fled empty-handed, and were located by police a short time later.
Police believe they’re dealing with a targeted attack, noting the culprits demanded drugs and weren’t wearing masks during the incident.
