Calgary condo developer could jeopardize Edinburgh heritage status

A Calgary developer’s project in the Scottish capital could cause the Edinburgh Old Town’s UNESCO World Heritage status to be revoked.

Prism Developments tells The National Post they’re ready to invest in the $500-million development, now that a London-based outfit has pulled out.

The Edinburgh municipal council is backing the upscale housing project because of the cash injection it could give the Scottish city’s local economy.
