Seniors could soon be paying more for a city transit pass.
Right now they pay a flat rate of $35 for a yearly pass; a youth pass costs $650.
City council is looking at increasing the senior rate.
Alderman Jim Stevenson tells 660News it’s time that an increase was put in place and that most seniors he’s spoken with don’t think they should have a special price advantage.
Stevenson adds that he wants any increases to be grandfathered in, so a senior who has already bought their pass won’t have to pay more.
