Alberta MLA’s may receive smaller severance packages

A private members bill that would rollback severance packages for departing Alberta MLA’s is scheduled to be debated Monday in the legislature.

Scott Henning with the Canadian Taxpayers Federation says he can’t see how even government members can vote down bill 202.

Bill 202 would reduced taxpayer funded severance packages for defeated and retiring MLA’s from three months pay for every year served to one month.
