Snowfall warning issued for Calgary and area

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning that includes the City of Calgary as well as Okotoks, Airdrie, Brooks, Kananaskis and Canmore areas.

Our Meteorologist David Spence says it will start sometime Saturday afternoon.

“We can expect around 10cm of snow on Saturday in the Calgary area. That’s just barely enough for a snowfall warning to be put out, which has been done now. More snow can be expected just south of the city around Claresholm and Okotoks. Those regions could get up to 25cm between Saturday morning and Sunday night,” says Spence.

He adds that March is the snowiest month of the year in Calgary.
