A 30-year-old man is in hospital with a serious head injury after he was hit by a truck that skidded out of control on icy roads.
It happened just after 9:00 p.m. Monday.
The man was driving his car southbound in the 600 block of Crowchild Trail N.W., when he lost control and hit a light standard.
As he left the car to get help, a woman lost control of the truck she was driving in the opposite direction and crashed into him.
The passenger in the car and the woman driving the truck weren’t hurt.
Calgary police are still investigating and it’s not clear if any charges will be laid.
