Kensington Legion needs funding to survive

Calgary’s Kensington Legion may soon be playing “The Last Post.”
The country’s largest branch needs $30-thousand, or will be forced to close its doors for good.
Members agreed in a special meeting Monday to request the funds from the organization’s provincial command.
The branch’s president tells The Calgary Sun they’ve been hit hard by an aging membership whose spending habits have dwindled.
He says they need to work on streamlining food operations and attracting a younger clientele.
