Finance Ministers meet in Calgary this weekend

Calgary is host to some heavy hitters in the financial world this weekend.
Although he’s now in election mode Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty is among 31 finance ministers taking part in the fourth meeting of the Finance Ministers of the America’s and the Caribbean.
Two days of meeting began Friday night and 660News will have a reporter covering Saturday’s activities.
In the background 2,500 visitors are in Calgary for the five day Inter-American, Development Bank meeting to talk about urban sustainability in growing cities.
Lenders and borrowers from 48 member countries from Chile to Canada are here for the meeting.
Although Development Bank President Luis Moreno praises Calgary for its planning, a Bolivian representative is somewhat disappointed about his weekend in Calgary. Carlos Herrera tells The Calgary Herald he was hoping to see the Flames play and some fights.
