Local artist does her part to help Japan

A local performer hit the stage Saturday in an effort to help earthquake ravaged Japan.

Singer and songwriter Colleen Doey is donating 25 per cent of the sales of her debut CD on Saturday night to the Red Cross Japan relief fund.

The Calgarian tells 660News that she believes the need in Japan is greater than her own and that is why she is gathering the funds together.

The show was held at the DaDe Art and Design Lab.
