Two arrested in southwest assault

Two people are under arrest after police say they beat up a man at a southwest LRT station.

It happened at about 2:15 a.m. Thursday at the 39th Avenue S.W. platform.

Duty Inspector Keith Cain says a weapon was used, but the victim should be okay.

The victim suffered a few cuts and bruises and was taken to hospital only as a precaution.

Inspector Cain says the victim was alone when he was attacked.
