Calgary-Northeast’s current MP, up for re-election, says he wants to see an airport tunnel built.
Tory Devinder Shory’s support for the tunnel comes after Calgary-East’s Deepak Obhrai, a fellow Conservative, recently said he thinks the project is a waste of taxpayer money that doesn’t benefit all Calgarians.
Shory stops short of saying he wants to see the feds kick in more money for the tunnel.
He tells The Calgary Herald he thinks the project should have been on the city’s wish list when Ottawa was doling out stimulus funding.
