Park and ride free-for-all

The big test will come on Monday morning for park-and-ride users.
The $3 fee went by the wayside on Friday but, since it was spring break, it wasn’t as much of a free-for-all as expected.
That’s likely to come on Monday, with a pre-dawn scramble anticipated, as drivers race to get a spot.
One driver tells the Calgary Herald, he had stopped parking at the Somerset -Bridlewood lot for the most part because $60-per month for parking on top of a $90 Transit pass was just too much.
However, others say they’re willing to pay an extra $70 for a ‘reserved’ spot at a park-and-ride.
Calgary Transit is allowing drivers to reserve up to half of the spaces at seven lrt lots.
