Police look for car involved in theft

Police have a new lead in the case where a good samaritan was dragged by a car after lending his cell phone to a group of strangers in the a northeast parking lot.

Investigators have released surveillance photos of the car involved last Wednesday night, when an 18-year-old gave the phone to a stranger in a parking lot in Rundle, who pretended to make a call with it before the driver tried to speed off.

The victim was dragged while trying to get his phone back.

Police are looking for four men in connection with the case, three are described as East Indian and the fourth is described as black.

The vehicle is described as a four-door sedan, possibly silver in colour, with slight tinted windows.
