Barlow closure renews calls for tunnel

The City has been flooded with calls complaining about traffic problems brought on by the closure of a section of Barlow Trial for the construction of a new airport runway.
Alderman Jim Stevenson says traffic congestion will only get worse if they don’t get around to building the airport tunnel because more homes and businesses will be built in the area in the coming years.
Stevenson says they hope improvements to Metis Trial later this summer will improve traffic flow in the area.
He encourages people who are not happy about what’s going on to put pressure on their MLAs and MPs and attend the airport authority’s annual general meeting on April 21st.
