Calgarians gather for Drums for Democracy

Dozens of Calgarians marched to their own beat at Olympic Plaza Sunday.
Open political discussion and an appreciation for true democracy are just two of the reason Chantal Chagnon of Green Party in Calgary Centre decided to organize the Drums for Democracy rally.
She tells 660News empowerment is another.
“It’s about empowering people to vote, empowering students and the younger generations because those are the ones who had the most apathy right now,” she says.
The rally also gave Green Party candidates the chance to present their platforms and answer questions from potential voters.
