Governor General to visit Calgary

The Governor General visits Calgary Thursday to honour volunteers.

In a video message to kick off National Volunteer Week, Governor General David Johnston calls on Canadians to use this week as an opportunity to think about how they can give their time to better their community.

During his visit to Calgary, Johnston is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the United Way’s national conference and meet with members of Volunteer Calgary.

He’ll also recognize twelve recipients of the Volunteer Calgary Leadership Awards and visit the military museums.
