Spring snow pounds Calgary

Heavy, wet snow is blanketing the city.
Roads in and around Calgary are in rough shape; the slushy mess making it hard for drivers to stay in their lanes or even on the road.
As of 6:00 a.m. Thursday, Deerfoot Trail was the only major route plowed according to callers to 660News. Even then, several cars could be spotted in the ditch along Calgary’s main thoroughfare.
660 Meteorologist David Spence says there will be a total of around 16 cms when the snow tapers off around mid-morning on Thursday.
Spence says Calgary will be stuck with the snow for a little while, since the forecasted high on Thursday is only three degrees.
More snow is expected for Friday and Sunday as well.
