A new report finds most Canadians are concerned about air quality.
A overwhelming majority of Canadian owners, 98 per cent, think that home air quality is important along with using sustainable and green building products.
The Lepage report on Canadians’ attitudes to sustainability also found that homeowners in BC are the most likely to choose green products at 27 per cent.
However, only 15 per cent of Alberta homeowners do the same.
The report revealed that 49 per cent of Canadian homeowners are aware of products to improve home air.
There are some things you can do to make your home greener and more energy effiecient.
First of all, seal any gaps around the house, which could help lower your power bill and improve air quality.
You can also insulate your hot water heater with a cover or blanket and replace leaky taps along with shower heads to help conserve water.
It’s also a good idea re-use, recycle and compost.
