Brutal assault at Forest Lawn house party

A vicious assault at a Forest Lawn house party, early Saturday morning, has sent a man to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“Police attended to a house party where things had gotten out of control,” Duty Inspector Chris Butler tells 660News. “When the officers arrived on scene, they located several individuals who had been sprayed with pepper spray and one male individual who was suffering from aggravated injuries, blunt trauma injuries as well as some sort of an edge weapon.”
Police were called to the home, in the 2200 block of 41st Street Southeast, around 2:30am.
“It seems that the offenders were present at the house party before things got out of hand,” says Butler, who indicated it’s not believed those involved in the attack were intruders. “So we do believe that the offenders and the victims are known to each other. We do know what type of weapon was involved, but we’re not releasing that at this point.”
The man with critical injuries was taken to hospital by EMS.
So far no one has been charged, but police are interviewing people who were at the party.
