Calgarian pleads guilty to sexual assault

A Calgary man will be sentenced May 20th after pleading guilty to sexual assault in the case of a teenaged girl in his care.

In an agreed statement of facts, court heard that John Ferguson Kaye had on-going sexual relations with the girl, from the age of 14, and on three occassions she became pregnant.

Two of the pregnancies were aborted.

The young woman, who had basically been abandoned by her mother and left with Kaye and his wife, referred to the man as ‘dad.’

After the third pregnancy, she told Kaye’s wife — whom she referred to as ‘mom’ — who reported the abuse to Child and Family Services.

The Calgary Herald reports the abuse of the young woman took place between the ages of 14 and 17.
