A union boss says managers at Enmax are being trained to handle duties that may be affected by possible job action.
Peter Marsden tells the Calgary Sun, the union sees it as a bit of a scare tactic.
While the managers aren’t going to do the work of 650 CUPE members, Marsden says it’s a way to try and scare the staff.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 38 chief says wages have been the main issue during talks that have been going on since the contract expired at the end of December.
A statement from Enmax says the company won’t comment on negotiations.
