Energy industry gushing over Tory majority

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers is looking forward to working with the new government in Ottawa.
CAPP’s Vice President of Markets and Oilsands says removing the minority tag from Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s government should help speed up policy development and implementation.
Greg Stringham tells 660News that energy investors hate uncertainty and there has been a lot of that in Ottawa over the last several years.
Stringham believes that Ottawa will reduce some of the red tape that has been slowing down energy development.
CAPP also hopes the Tories will work to make Canada more of a global energy player.
As for the opposition NDP, Stringham says the industry is looking forward to working with Jack Layton’s party because it might have some solutions to address future labour shortages.
