NDP stop a blue sweep in Alberta

All incumbent Tory candidates in northern Alberta are going back to parliament.
One candidate rained on the Tories parade with a seat in Edmonton staying in the hands of the NDP.
The party would have dearly loved to have won all 28 seats in the province, but a lone seat in Edmonton-Strathcona is retained by the NDP’s Linda Duncan.
Other ridings that could have spelled trouble for the Tories, Edmonton-Centre, Edmonton-East and Edmonton-Sherwood Park, were all won by the conservatives.
Rona Ambrose won in a landslide in her riding Edmonton-Spruce Grove.
Other ridings in and around the city went Tory blue.
