Spring road closures coming

Spring has finally sprung and that means it’s time for road closures and detours.

Crews are taking advantage of the warmer weather to ramp up road construction projects.

First up are night-time lane closures on Deerfoot Trail for the installation of new pavement markings.

The city says it’s a leftover project from last year’s paving from the Ivor Strong Bridge all the way to 17th Avenue S.E.

The replacement of the Calf Robe and Ogden flyover bridge decks northbound on Deerfoot will also get underway in the next few weeks.
