Stampede revenues drop

Stampede revenues took a dive last year.
Net income for the society that puts on the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth fell to $1.6-million in 2010.
That’s well down from the $2.4-million that it earned in 2009 and the $10.3-million the Stampede raked in during 2008.
A city committee heard Wednesday that bad weather, the economic slowdown and the loss of professional horse racing all contributed to the revenue drop.
