A street racer has been convicted of causing a serious crash, even though the vehicle he was driving at the time wasn’t actually involved.
Justin Gould, 20, was found guilty for dangerous driving that injured two people.
In the November 2008 incident, Gould raced away from his friend Timmothy Field at a traffic light on southbound Macleod Trail.
The judge says that incited Field to speed up Cemetery Hill before losing control and veering into the northbound lane, hitting two other vehicles.
The Calgary Sun reports Gould’s sentence will be handed down in July.
