Booze ban in national parks this weekend

Those planning to camp this May long weekend might have to leave the booze at home.

A temporary liquor ban will be in effect at sites near Banff and Lake Louise, as well as McLeod Meadows in Kootenay National Park.

The Monarch and Chancellor Peak sites in Yoho National Park also fall under the ban.

It’s in effect from 7:00 a.m. on Friday to noon on Monday.

Those who break the ban could be kicked off their sites without a refund.
