Police make two immigration arrests

Two men have been arrested by Calgary Police on multiple immigration and criminal warrants.

Peace officers spotted the two men on Tuesday in the 400 block of Centre Street northeast and contacted police.

A 40-year-old man who had evaded officers since February has now been turned over to the Canada Border Services agency.

A 39-year-old man also wanted on a Canada-wide Immigration warrant and other warrants is also in police custody to answer to the charges against him.
