Another helicopter crash in northern Alberta

A second helicopter crash in northern Alberta in less than a week has left the pilot injured.

A captain at the Canadian Forces Base Trenton says the crash happened Monday morning north of Calling Lake, and the pilot suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Captain Al Baldry says it was a small commercial helicopter that was not involved in firefighting efforts.

This accident follows last Friday’s deadly crash of a firefighting chopper into Lesser Slave Lake.
