There’s a lot to entertain the kids with this week at the Calgary International Children’s Festival, kicking off Monday at the Epcor Centre.
One of the plays is The Tragical Life of Cheeseboy, taking the crowd on a journey through the cosmos with Cheeseboy as he explores a universe of discovery, loss, trickery and of course, cheese.
Kate Newby with the festival says there are all sorts of plays and special performances for kids of all ages running Monday through Saturday at Epcor Centre.
“A little baby rave dance for tots and their parents and we have The Very Hungry Caterpillar which is a live, black light puppet show that is extraordinary,” says Newby.
Much of what’s happening is inside but she says there’s also a lot in the way of hands-on activities planned outside on Olympic Plaza.
