Here we go again!
Drivers can expect delays once again on Deerfoot Trail after a bit of a rain delay.
Work was set to begin Monday night but Trent Bancarz with Alberta Transportation tells 660News, that the constant rain forced a delay because they couldn’t paint the new lane designations on the road until things were dry.
Three lanes on the Ogden Road overpass are squeezed down to two lanes to prepare for the bridge deck project repairs.
Crews decided to go ahead with the work on Tuesday night and are hoping the rain will hold off.
One lane is closed on the Ogden Road flyover, with just two narrow northbound lanes set up for drivers.
That work is slated to wrap up in early August.
In an effort to reduce headaches, signal timing adjustments are being made on alternate routes, including Macleod and Barlow Trails.
