Province-wide fire ban lifted

The Alberta government has announced a province-wide fire ban has been lifted.

The ban had been in place for over a week after wild-fires ripped through the province destroying over 300 thousand hectares of land.

This news comes as residents of Slave Lake will soon be told when they can return home.

According to the Calgary Herald, officials are set to announce plans for a staged re-entry and evacuees will then learn what’s next for the fire ravaged community.
