Province announces bursaries for volunteer sector

The province is announcing money to give students working in the non-profit sector a helping hand.
The cash will be combined with an internship program to help students gain experience.
Premier Ed Stelmach says Alberta stands to gain a lot from this.
“This is another change that is going to work for so many Albertans and once again, put Alberta ahead of so many other jurisdictions when it comes to this sector,” Stelmach says.
500 bursaries of $1,000 each will be available starting in September.
