The President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce delivered a closed door speech Tuesday at the Calgary Petroleum Club.
Perrin Beatty says with a majority goverment in Ottawa now is the time to ramp up efforts to make the country a real energy superpower.
Beatty tells 660News it’s time for goverment and industry officials to step up and do a better job telling the real story behind energy exploration, extraction and exports.
The Canadian Chamber is a big supporter of building new pipelines to ship oil and gas not only to the U.S. but overseas as well.
Beatty says the Chamber is already talking to Americans trying to explain how Canada is the solution to U.S. energy security.
