Stopping sexual abuse requires a change in the way we think and new website launched by Youth for Change, aims to engage young people around the issue.
Youth for Change is an arm of the city’s primary authority on sexual violence.
Danielle Aubry heads up Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse and says it’s children and young people who are the most impacted by sexual assault and abuse.
“That’s a really unfortunate reality, but it is a reality in our society, in North America and throughout the world,” she says.
The new website features links to resources for victims and opportunities for dialogue about the issues, and how to change attitudes surrounding it.
