It’s two days full of food and folk music.
The Calgary Ukrainian Festival gets underway at the Acadia recreation complex in the city’s southeast Saturday morning.
Main stage entertainment runs all day with local Ukrainian dance ensembles and live folk music.
You can find everything from perogies and beer to kolbassa and cabbage rolls at the festival marketplace.
They have crafts and souvenirs, an art show and sale and a craft corner for the kids.
The festival kicks off Saturday morning at 11 o’clock. A dance is planned for Saturday night at 8 o’clock. The festival runs Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
